Retone is a Chrome extension that rewrites selected text into a chosen tone or style. This policy explains exactly what data the extension does and does not handle.
On-device All rewriting is performed locally by Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano). The text you select and the rewritten output never leave your browser. We do not transmit, store, log, or have any access to the content you rewrite.
To run the subscription, the extension communicates with our own backend at
retone.pmaxtek.com. The only data sent is what's required to verify access:
This data is used solely to provide the extension's licensing and trial functionality. It is not sold, rented, or transferred to third parties, and is not used for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay on its own secure, hosted checkout page. Retone never sees or stores your card or payment details. Any email or billing information you enter is handled under Razorpay's privacy policy.
Your custom rewrite presets and your trial/license state are stored in Chrome's extension storage on your device (and synced across your own Chrome profiles via Chrome Sync, if enabled). You can clear all of it at any time by removing the extension.
The install ID and license record are retained for as long as your subscription is active so the service can function. To request deletion of your records, contact us at the email below.
